​“We were not the typical client. We had very specific ideas, ten years of research, and several custom design ideas that needed to be incorporated into the plans. In addition, this was a new construction project with specific timelines that had to be made. Our custom designs included,

but not limited to all the grain being uniform, special order

handles, custom, "on-site", fitted cutting board, custom drawer

inserts, modified silverware holders, and custom design work to

incorporate in the work area. This was no average job, and not

“We designed and built our home 17 years ago. It has been a

work in progress since then because our needs have changed

as our family has grown. The addition of a backyard pool led to

a remodel in which the back of the house was extended. This,

in turn, created a difficult space in our family room. This space

was an eyesore for many years as we simply could not envision

a solution to a problem space which included different ceiling 

heights, exposed plumbing, and a large support beam from the

original back wall of the house. In this hectic space we wanted

to have our T.V. and electronics. Our designer worked patiently 

with us through the process of designing a media cabinet that

exceeded our lofty expectations. She actually enjoyed the

challenge. Just as the design process was customized to our

needs, so was the installation. Travis and his installation crew

were flexible in scheduling an installation date. That was important as I was orchestrating the timing of the installation in conjunction with the electronics installers and the delivery of media components. On the job site, they took good care of all the details, from tarping the work space to keeping the rest of the house clean to making sure that every cut was made correctly. When they left the media cabinet was ready to decorate! I am now looking forward to seeing the french doors and window shutters we have planned for Phase II.”
